Pocono Autism Society, Inc.
Pocono Autism Society is a non-profit support organization for families and professionals involved with Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorders. We advocate for the general welfare of persons with autism and foster dialogue between parents and professionals to enhance diagnosis, therapy, education and recreation of persons with autism. We promote public awareness of the problems of persons with autism.
Our meetings are scheduled for 7:00pm, on the first Tuesday of the month at East Stroudsburg University in the University Center, Student Senate Chambers (click for directions). We meet during the months when ESU is in session, Sept - Dec and Feb - May. ESU students provide childcare, with the exception of September, in a nearby room.
Between meetings discussions with local participants are welcome on the Yahoo! Group “poconoautism”.
