Pocono Autism Society is a non-profit support organization for families and professionals involved with Autism/Pervasive Developmental Disorders. We advocate for the general welfare of persons with autism and foster dialogue between parents and professionals to enhance diagnosis, therapy, education and recreation of persons with autism. We promote public awareness of the problems of persons with autism.

Our brochure is available to download and print, providing essential details about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and our non-profit organization. Inside, you'll find official medical diagnosis criteria, clear definitions, our direct contact information, key community resources in the Pocono area, and all the specifics for attending our support meetings.

Here is some information to help get you started if you have just moved to PA or if your child has just been diagnosed with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
A list of resource links of interest to our community that includes national, state, and local resources, as well as educational and clinical resources.

We have monthly daytime meetings scheduled for 9:30am, on the 4th Wednesday of the month at the Hughes Library, 1002 North Ninth St Stroudsburg. We meet during the months when school is in session, Sept - May.
We love when parents and professionals take part in our monthly meetings, so feel free to join us.
